Hello there! My name is Khanh N. DANG (in Vietnamese: Đặng Nam Khánh, in Japanese: ダン ナム カイン).

Brief Bio: I’m a tenured Associate Professor in the Division of Computer Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at the University of Aizu. My work focuses on sustainable and energy-efficient computing systems, and I currently lead the Sustainable Computing Cluster, a research group exploring these ideas. I completed my academic training across several countries: a B.Sc. from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, an M.Sc. from Paris XI University (now part of Paris-Saclay University), and a Ph.D. from the University of Aizu. Along the way, I also spent time in both industry and academia, including at Dolphin Technology, Inc. and Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Since April 2026, I’ve been qualified for Doctoral Maru-Go (博士マル合), which allows me to supervise Ph.D. students.

Research Interests: My research primarily focuses on computer engineering, with several publications in top-tier journals and conferences such as TVLSI, TCAD, TETC, TCMPT, ISCAS, APCCAS and ISVLSI. I also hold several patents (pending and granted) on this topic. My current research explores the following key areas: Sustainable Computing, Low-power VLSI Design, 3D-IC Technology, On-chip Communication, and Neuromorphic Computing. Please see the grant&award, research, publication, and patent pages to learn more. I am also open for research collaboration and startup idea, please contact me to discuss.
